The tech giant unveiled an AI-powered feature set for search and productivity tools at its Microsoft Build event.
Microsoft hosts the important and highly anticipated Microsoft Build 2023 event in Seattle, USA. A few weeks ago, the tech giant launched Skipper for the Internet, along with the new AI-powered Bing search engine and Edge cybersurfer. And that puts the tech mammoth far ahead of its rivals in the ongoing AI arms race.
Microsoft Build is essentially a conference where inventors can learn about new tools and methods. This release is expected to focus on AI-related development and integration.
At the event, the tech giant unveiled a number of AI-powered features and enhancements to its product line. After giving the keynote, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will take turns talking about the company's many AI products. As well as exchanging views on the amazing possibilities of AI, the responsible use and deployment of AI technologies dominates the event.
Here is a look at all the key announcements at the Microsoft Build 2023:
Bing comes with ChatGPT, new plugins and more.
Over the past four months, Microsoft has unveiled a number of AI tools and said at the event that it has made significant progress in a short amount of time. According to Microsoft, Bing addicts have joined more than 500 million exchanges and created more than 200 million images using Bing Image Creator, and daily downloads of the Bing Mobile app have increased eightfold. With unmatched success, Microsoft said it is leading the way for addicts and inventors to interact with the hunt.Microsoft introduced three major updates to Bing. Bing search integration in ChatGPT, a common plugin platform with OpenAI and new plugin helpers, and improved integration of Bing Chat with Microsoft Pilots. Bing is now ChatGPT's abandoned message finder, allowing bots to suggest timely and outdated responses across the web. The company claims ChatGPT responses will now be backed up with search and web data that will include quotes. The new experience is available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers from now on. Coming soon to free addicts, all you have to do is activate the plugin that brings Bing to ChatGPT.
Additionally, Microsoft and OpenAI will jointly maintain and develop an AI plugin ecosystem to ensure interoperability. Inventors can now use a single platform to create and submit plugins that work across both consumer and business platforms such as Bing, ChatGPT, Dynamics 365 Skipper, Windows Copilot and Microsoft 365 Skipper. Bing will be adding support for plugins from Expedia, Instacart, Kayak, Klarna, Redfin, TripAdvisor and Zillow. By adding these plugins, the chatbot will make appropriate recommendations to the addict. The company also said that Bing Chat will be integrated into Windows Copilot and Microsoft Edge. Integration will provide addicts with highly personalized responses and timely suggestions.
