Trouble For Vivo Handset Maker Stopped From Dealing Phones In Germany

The company also confirms that  client support and software updates will continue for buyers who have formerly bought a device in Germany.

Vivo has suspended deals of its smartphones and other products in Germany as per the Nokia patent  disagreement action ruled against them. Last time, Oppo and OnePlus were banned from dealing  their phones in Germany as a part of the same action and now Vivo has also joined the list. Win Future has reported that the company has removed the Store section from its Germany website along with all the phone  rosters leaving buyers no choice of buying their phones.

Vivo has released a statement  attesting the same, the company has released an  sanctioned press note as well as on its website in Germany. We visited Vivo’s Germany website and the website is  fully blank with not a single product listed, including accessories.

Vivo has  verified on its website that they're working with Nokia( the Finnish  outfit supplier and not HDMI Global) to be  suitable to resolve the situation with the company and  renew the deals of its phones.

Meanwhile, the company has n’t specified for how long the deals of their phones with remain suspended in the country.

Vivo to continue offering after-  trade service  While the company has  removed the  trade of its smartphones and other products in the country. The company has assured its  guests that it'll continue to offer them after- deals services. This means  druggies who  formerly  enjoy Vivo phones in Germany will get service and support for their phones and other  bias.
“ vivo completely  felicitations intellectual property and is committed to  nonstop  invention through comprehensive  exploration and development. In recent times, Vivo has entered into complementary licensing agreements with  multitudinous leading companies. We've been negotiating with Nokia on the renewal of the complementary licenses, but haven't yet been  suitable to reach an agreement. We  explosively believe that Nokia has not yet fulfilled its obligation to offer a license on" FRAND" terms( fair, reasonable andnon-discriminatory).

We're  dissatisfied by the first- case judgments of the Mannheim Regional Court of 6 April 2023 and have suspended the  trade and marketing of the products in question in Germany following the enforcement of these  opinions by Nokia.

We've appealed the  opinions and will consider  farther options. In the meantime, we remain in close contact with Nokia to conclude the licensing accommodations in  agreement with the FRAND terms.

Our long- term commitment to the German  request remains unchanged. druggies can calculate on  client service as well as future software updates for their  bias. There's no impact on our business outside Germany.
